Several buildings and residence halls located at East Carolina University continue to face discussion around name changes, but the school has yet to make or finalize a decision on whether it will eventually enforce renames after it created a committee tasked to do so.
Joyner Library, Joyner East and the Jarvis, Fleming and Cotten residence halls are the buildings on campus that continue to spark controversy around the renaming process. Jarvis Residence Hall is proposed to be renamed Pamlico Hall, Cotten Hall to be renamed Albemarle Hall, Fleming Hall as Currituck Hall, Joyner Library to be renamed Main Campus Library and Joyner East as School of Communication.

Executive Ticket 1 includes junior political science major Morgan Fried as the presidential candidate with junior political science major Hailey Hogan as the vice presidential candidate. Hogan said the pair hopes to tackle off-campus sexual assault and crime prevention efforts through the addition of lights throughout the grid, a neighborhood where many off-campus students reside.
