Interjet employees strike for months of unpaid wages, benefits

Cancun, Q.R. Interjet employees across the country have voiced their frustration with the company, which has resulted in a nation-wide strike. Airline employees began their strike Friday afternoon for months of unpaid benefits and wages.
A majority of the Interjet workers say they have not been paid for four months. Aside from unpaid wages, workers also claim unpaid benefits and bonuses.
Interjet workers took to the airlines check-in area at Mexico City International Friday, posting signs about the company’s lack of support.

Company that manages Interjet Vacations files for bankruptcy

Mexico City, Mexico –The company Resérvalo, which manages the Interjet Vacations brand, reported that on December 23, it formally submitted a request for bankruptcy.
“Resérvalo has no corporate relationship with the Interjet airline,” they clarified in a message posted on the Interjet Vacations website, a trademark that is registered with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property by ABC Airlines (Interjet) that has been seized by the Tax Administration Services (SAT).
Due to its financial complications, Interjet has not flown since December 11. Transportes Resérvalo, Sociedad Anónima Promotora de Inversión de Capital Variable was created in 2018, with both partners, José Luis Ramírez Magnani and Eduardo Ramírez Hay, being equal shareholders.
