Haitian president Jovenel Moïse is clinging to power, after a February 7 constitutional deadline that stipulated he must step down. In a desperate move, he accused opposition forces of attempting a coup d’etat and ordered the arrest of 23 people, including the kidnapping of a Supreme Court judge. In response, Haitians took to the streets of Port-au-Prince on February 10, chanting: “Down with kidnapping! Down with Dictatorship!”
