Rocky police station boss shares her experiences as a working mum

Careers Contributed Premium Content Subscriber only The Officer-in-Charge of Rockhampton Station, Senior Sergeant Hanlen has found that her strength lies in working with people, which is an ideal skill to have when you are the boss of around 50 police officers and 10 administrative staff in a busy regional centre. It was almost by chance that Senior Sergeant Hanlen even came to policing. Unhappy with her choice of teaching as a career, she was 18-years-old and at a loose end when a family member challenged her to give policing a go. An event she experienced during the application process convinced her she'd found the right path.

International Women's Day: Best Games Featuring All, Powerful Lineup of Female Leads

(Photo : Tomb Raider via Twitter @tombraider) One of the most iconic female leads in video game history is the English adventurer and fearless Lara Croft, which was created by Core Studios for Sega Saturn and the PlayStation. Since the late 90s, Lara Croft has been kicking ass, both enemies and fictional entities, as she ventures into the unknown corners of the world.  Chloe Frazer - 'Uncharted: Lost Legacy' expansion (Photo : Uncharted via PlayStation ) Despite being a new addition in the "Uncharted" series, Chloe is immediately a fan-favorite and a viable replacement for Nathan Drake in Naughty Dog's action-adventure series. "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" may have slept on her, but the Lost Legacy expansion surely highlighted Chloe's skill and asset in the game.

Australia's songwriting community chose this day to announce Reddy would be posthumously honoured at the 2021 APRA Awards next month with the prestigious Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music.
