Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis details latest initiative on Tucker Carlson Tonight

TUCKER CARLSON, HOST: Good evening, and welcome to Tucker Carlson Tonight.
We ve got an admission for you. For more than four years, we ve been telling you almost every week that the biggest threat to your basic freedoms in America is not actually the Federal government. We thought that for a long time, the Federal government is infuriating. It can be stupid and dangerous, obviously. But at least in the case of the government, you theoretically have some control over its behavior since it s a democracy.
“As you know, Rep. Buck is a bastion for conservative values in Congress who has fought for the preservation of the free market and the restoration of competition in the American economy,” the activists wrote to Mr. Jordan. “He has also shown his dedication to standing up against Big Tech’s censorship of conservative viewpoints, which threatens the freedoms of speech and expression for all Americans.”
Mr. Jordan’s office did not respond to a request for comment on the conservative activists’ request. The leading GOP member of the House antitrust panel in 2020 is Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, who is set to retire in January 2021.
Overhauling the legal protection, which is enshrined in Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, has been a top priority for President Trump.
“This lawsuit is about the public’s right to know the rationale behind Commerce’s efforts to amend Section 230, the bedrock law underpinning the success of the internet in the U.S. for over two decades,” said Jesse Blumenthal, who leads tech and innovation policy at the Stand Together coalition that includes AFPF.
“To make it clear that the lawsuit is not about personal attacks, AFPF has amended the complaint to remove the names of private individuals and groups. This effort is focused on the merits of the policy and preserving the internet as a place to promote free speech.”
