An initial investigation into a massive fire, that closed a stretch of Interstate 10 in downtown Los Angeles, found that it was set with "malice intent," California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday.

As structural analysis continues on I-10 near downtown L.A., shoring has been put in place to stabilize the damaged section of roadway. 

Arson was the cause of a massive weekend fire that indefinitely closed a vital section of a Los Angeles freeway, California authorities said.
