going to look at the intent of congress and congress doesn t want this money spent that could be a challenge for the president s legal team to have the money be appropriated without congress s intent. let s talk about the former fbi director, mccabe, and he s talking about the chaos surrounding the early days of the trump administration. it was trump s own actions and statements, and in the words of the intelligence community bizarre behavior that had their senses heightened and investigations on the table. this is what he said about deputy attorney general rod rosenstein offering to wear a wire. listen. we talked about why the president had insisted on firing the director and whether or not he was thinking about the russia investigation and did that impact his decision? in the context of that conversation, the deputy attorney general offered to wear a wire into the white house.
president trump is slamming andrew mccabe as well as the deputy attorney general rod rosenstein. mccabe said rosenstein talked about wearing a wire into the white house possibly and discussed the possibility of using the 25th amendment to remove the president. this morning the president called that illegal and treason s. this is mccabe telling 60 minutes what it was like in the days after the president fired fbi director james comey. we talked about why the president had insisted on firing the director and whether or not he was thinking about the russia investigation and did that impact his decision? and in the context of that conversation the deputy attorney general offered to wear a wire into the white house. he said i never get searched when i go into the white house. i can easily wear a recording device. they wouldn t know who is there. he was not joking.
