The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan's residence in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali in connection with the alleged Public Distribution System (PDS) scam case. Shahjahan is currently absconding. The raids are part of an investigation into the alleged ration scam in the state.

The ED also submitted that while she was permitted to travel earlier as well, she was asked to inform the ED upon return but she had not done that in violation of the court order.

Sheikh, against whom the ED has issued a look-out notice, has been absconding since the day of the attack on ED officials.

Justice Sengupta also told the lawyer that his client should cooperate with ED.
