Prince Harry will receive a "substantial" payout from Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), the publisher of The Daily Mirror, to compensate him for damages and legal costs aftert a judge ruled that he was the victim of phone hacking.

Justice Timothy Fancourt concluded that Harrys personal cellphone likely experienced hacking "to a modest extent" from the conclusion of 2003 to April 2009. Among the 33 articles presented by Harry, 15 were found to be based on information obtained through his mobile voicemail. The judge asserted that the Mirror Group had the capability to halt these activities but chose not to, opting to "turn a blind eye to what was going on, and positively concealed it" instead.
