On a night where Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick at the Nou Camp, perhaps the most eye-catching incident in the world of football occurred at Portman Road.
During Ipswich Town’s rather drab 0-0 draw with Northampton Town on Tuesday, referee Darren Drysdale decided to spice things up.
What happened?
In the 90th minute, with the match petering out, Ipswich midfielder Alan Judge burst into the penalty area before being apparently upended by Northampton defender Peter Kioso.
Drysdale did not see it as a foul, instead giving Northampton a free-kick, believing Judge had dived. Judge was dismayed and began walking towards Drysdale.
