CPS Superintendent Iranetta Wright says she respects union's concerns, will work to address them.

During Monday night's Board of Education meeting, Wright said the district needed more time to look at job titles, efficiencies and job duplications.

Cincinnati Public Schools board of education plans to meet in executive session Monday to discuss "employment of a public employee or official."

Cincinnati City Council is considering major changes to the residential tax abatement program. A vote has been delayed four times for more community engagement, but that engagement has been lackluster at best.

Almost 73% of teachers in Cincinnati Public Schools are White. Meanwhile, over 60% of the students are Black and 7% identify as multi-racial.

To the surprise of some on the board, 46% of 3rd through 6th graders viewed safety in the school district favorably, meaning more than half of those elementary school students who participated either feel unsure or do not feel safe in school buildings.

All in-person school-based activities, athletic events and district office meetings will be canceled also.

During a Tuesday night roundtable parents were invited to share issues they've been having and work directly with the administrations to draw up short-term and long-term solutions.
