Iberdrola has recently successfully installed the first foundation for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm on the seabed.

Baltic Eagle´s offshore substation topside has been successfully installed by Heerema Marine Contractors using the Thialf installation vessel. The jacket foundation had been placed on site in October 2022.

Spanish energy company Iberdrola has exercised its step-in right to the pre-developed site O-1.3 in the German Baltic Sea where it will develop the 300 Windanker offshore wind farm.

This will be the company’s third offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.

The companies will be supplying and maintaining the turbines for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.

Iberdrola and Vestas have signed turbine supply and maintenance contracts for the 476MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm off Germany. The contract, which firms up an earlier preferred supplier agreement, is for the supply of 50 V174-9.5MW units for the project being developed off the island of Rugen, in German waters of the Baltic Sea. Both parties have also signed a contract for service and maintenance of the new turbines. Turbine installation is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024....
