Northern Pines Sled Dog Race: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 20, starts and finishes at Northern Pines Golf Course, 69420 Airport Road, Iron River, Wisconsin. Sprint/mid-distance race is a downhill run through the golf course entering the Bayfield County Trail system and the Tri-County Corridor. The Simpson Trail System at Iron River National Fish Hatchery in Wisconsin is an excellent location to enjoy the outdoors. The system is a collection of trails totaling just over three miles that meander throughout the 1,200-acre property consisting of forested hardwoods and conifers. The trails are maintained year round, and hatchery staff groom the trail system during the winter for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The
