BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. – Tuesday evening, the county council voted 4-3 to enlist Muncie-based Waggoner, Irwin, Scheele & Associates, a firm that advises city and county governments on administrative matters, to conduct a study of the job classifications listed in the county’s budget with regard to pay for each. The analysis the firm provides the county will be based on data collected from other counties based on criteria such as size and location within the state.
Kent Irwin of Waggoner, Irwin Scheele & Associates said that the pay plan his firm would provide the council with be built from the ground up rather than off the shelf.
