The House passed the Financial CHOICE Act (H.R. 10) in June 2017. The CHOICE Act is a comprehensive financial regulatory reform bill that would replace large parts of the 2010 Dodd–Frank Act. The Senate has not yet passed its own reform bill, but the Senate Banking Committee recently passed the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155) with votes from four Democratic members of the committee.

Congress should not lose sight of key conservative priorities as it considers whether (and how) to respond to the economic and fiscal crisis in Puerto Rico.
