good evening. speaker of the house kevin mccarthy weighed in late this evening on his decision to give tucker carlson first dibs on footage from january 6th, footage that carlson used to portray the attack as something it was not. several senators criticized his decision. documents revealing that carlson s contempt for the former president for his viewers and for the facts. we ll have more on that shortly. first, though, some of what the speaker just said. the one thing i always want to make sure is this capitol is protected and secured. i want to make sure the officers here have everything they need to provide that. my whole role for january 6th is just to bring transparency. people can make their own decision. mccarthy held this press conference today following a congressional budget office report on the debt. what did he say about the january 6th security footage? how much concern are you hearing from members of the house? members of the senate have spoken out but does
than they originally thought they could. you know, the judge move really swiftly today. it was less than four hours after he received prosecutors for post redactions let he ruled that what they propose would, in fact, be sufficient, that it should be released to the public by noon tomorrow. and the reason it s interesting that this judge came to such a quick conclusion is that when doj argued in court last week, they said that any redactions could be so extensive that it would make the entire affidavit completely devoid of content, in their words. when they said that, the judge pushback and he argued, look, there must be something that you can release. so, it does seem that maybe doj has come up with a version, obviously that s satisfying to the judge, even though, of course, huge portions of this are likely to be blacked out, anderson. what s parts can be expected to be redacted? yeah, so we likely won t see any information that relates to the investigation itself becaus
