Hospitals across the U.S. and in Nebraska may be looking at cutting some of their health care operations as federal COVID-19 funding runs out.

Jeremy Nordquist, president of the Nebraska Hospital Association, said hospitals still are seeing a staff vacancy rate of somewhere between 10% and 15%, with some as high as 20%.

A new brain and spine neurosurgery clinic in North Platte Neb. held its open house June 30, the culmination of two years of preparations.
