The Dodgers have seven games remaining before beginning the playoffs on Oct. 7. They start with a less-than-ideal doubleheader Tuesday in Colorado.

Chris Taylor was in the right place at the right time in extra innings with heads-up defense on a slick double play and his bat. Taylor’s line-drive single to center field in the 10th inning lifted the NL West champion Los Angeles Dodgers past the San Francisco Giants 3-2 on Sunday night. Amed Rosario began the inning at second base and took third on pinch-hitter Kolten Wong’s groundout to short.

The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the NL West title for the 10th time in 11 seasons with a 6-2 win in 11 innings over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night. Max Muncy’s single off Gabe Speier (2-2) scored Mookie Betts from second base with one out in the top of the 11th to give the […]

Clayton Kershaw doesn't know how many more of these celebrations he'll get the chance to enjoy inside the Los Angeles Dodgers' clubhouse. Wrapping up an NL West title still feels special. The Dodgers secured yet another NL West crown Saturday night with a 6-2 victory in 11 innings over the Seattle Mariners.

The Dodgers defeated the Mariners in extra innings Saturday night to capture the NL West title for the 10th time in the past 11 seasons.

When the postseason rolls around, the Los Angeles Dodgers know they'll need more than just Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman carrying the load at the top of the lineup. Which is why a night where the likes of J.D. Martinez and Miguel Rojas carry the offense is important this late in the season. “You got the two horses up front with Freddie and (Mookie) and you got to be able to have your three, four or five hitters protect those guys,” Martinez said.

Juan Soto hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the ninth inning, and the San Diego Padres rallied from an early five-run deficit for an 11-8 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night. Manny Machado homered twice for the Padres, who beat their playoff-bound rivals for only the third time in 11 meetings this season. San Diego still had to survive a perilous bottom of the ninth for closer Josh Hader, who got Chris Taylor on a weak liner to shortstop with the bases loaded to end it.

The Dodgers try to rally against Padres closer Josh Hader but fall short after Evan Phillips gives up two home runs in the ninth inning of an 11-8 loss.

J.D. Martinez homered and drove in three runs in his return from the injured list, Freddie Freeman set a Dodgers record with his 53rd double of the season, and Los Angeles beat the Washington Nationals 8-5 on Friday night. Max Muncy and Kiké Hernandez had solo shots for Los Angeles, which reduced its magic number in the NL West to eight. The Dodgers lead Arizona by 13 games and hold the tiebreaker over the Diamondbacks.

Rookie Ryan Pepiot pitched a perfect game for 6 2/3 innings as Julio Urías’ replacement in the Dodgers’ rotation, and Los Angeles routed the Miami Marlins 10-0 on Thursday night for just their second win seven games. Josh Bell grounded a single up the middle with two outs in the seventh for the only hit off Pepiot. Caleb Ferguson allowed Garrett Hampson’s leadoff single in the eighth and Evan Phillips finished the two-hitter with a perfect ninth.
