On the face of it, the planned Soviet economy did away with choice: people wore the same clothes, apartments sported the same furniture. And yet the country boasted a wide variety of stores, some of them weirder than weird.

Several Soviet actors took his words at face value and moved to America in search of a new life and better acting career.
The so-called American dream means different things to different people. For movie actors, Hollywood has long been a dream factory, luring stars with fame and fortune. Naturally, getting what you wish for is not always what you expect it to be.
