and, you know, they'red a vo t -- advocates for the rest of their lives. >> i want to come back to that, but i want to ask you about this "washington post" piece talking about the legacy of newtown. it frankly is a kind of sad legacy. lockdowns. kids going through active shooter training. security stepped up at schools across the country. what do you consider the most significant change since newtown to keep kids safe? what is the newtown legacy for you? >> well, i think the newtown legacy is first and foremost the birth of the modern anti-gun violence movement. this is a constant conversation we are having in this country in a way that did not exist prior to sandy hook in the virginia elections that occurred in november, the number two motivating issue for voters was the issue of guns. and it is a conversation that is ongoing here. we haven't passed the legislation that we would like, but many states have. and so the legacy i think first

letting that boil off as steam, releasing the steam to get the pressure down enough so they can put in more water so that commits them to continuing released probably for weeks to come. >> we know that hundreds of workers were evacuated, tens of thousands of people within a 30-kilometer area of this facility were evacuated. there's not that many people actually left, i assume, because they fear radiation poisoning, but those who are left, how endangered are they? >> i don't know what the dose rates are in the plant. some of the numbers that they have reported would in fact be enough, if you were out there for a few hours, to give acute radiation sickness, which would start out with things like vo t vomiting and diarrhea, and once you're at that stage and you're a plant worker, you're not going to get a lot of work down. not going to haul heavy fire hoses, et cetera, but i think they probably cut the worker population at the plant to the bare bones minimum because there's no point exposing more
for full repeal of obama care. >> you think you could get democrats to go on board and override a veto? >> here is what i think is realistic. a couple things. number one, a lot of democrats are coming forward saying we want to come forward and scrap the bill. we made a mistake. we didn't read it. we don't know about the consequences. our first priority needs to be taking care of the most vulnerable in society. we need health care reform, but if the house and the senate passes a bill to fully repeal obama care so we can clear the way to start over with true reform that helps the most vulnerable, then the president goes and vetoes that bill when the will of the people has been made very clear, if barack obama vo t vetoes that the year before his re-election, he's vulnerable. i have seen many hillary for
