The Shenyang Aircraft Corporation's J-35 is elevating China's naval capabilities, potentially shifting the balance of power at sea in favor of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN).

The aircraft is still in the development phase and will have to be able to handle ski-jump and electromagnetic catapult systems, analyst says.
