For the third successive game against the Romans, the Bluebirds scored first, but having gone on to lose the previous two, Mike Cook’s men managed to halt that slide – though Chippenham are now on the club’s longest home run without a win since joining National League South four seasons ago.

SWINDON Supermarine saw their Buildbase FA Trophy campaign come to a shuddering halt on Saturday after a 4-0 defeat by Bath City. The National League South outfit struggled to break Lee Spalding’s men down in a goalless first half before former Swindon Town man, Tom Smith struck twice after the break. Tommy Conway dispatched a penalty to put Bath three goals up, and Tom Richards added a fourth late on. Marine now have until at least January 9 without a game as the Southern League have joined the Northern League and the Isthmian League in opting to continue the suspension of all fixtures.
