In front of the largest bond issue crowd he had spoken to, Jacksboro ISD Superintendent Brad Burnett gave information about the bond issue Wednesday April 12 to the Jacksboro Lions Club. Early voting for the May 6 election for the $47.5 million bond issue runs April 24-May 2 at the Jack County Courthouse Room 104.

JACKSBORO - Young and Jack County community leaders met in Jacksboro on March 29 to fine-tune a plan to plug gaps in the stateโs mental health services for rural residents and discuss strategies for funding those urgently needed services with grants or by finding room in tight local budgets if promised help from the Legislature does not materialize.

Jack County law enforcement and county officials continue to work on ways to improve dealings with those with mental health issues. Officials met with Helen Farabee Crisis Centers March 29 to develop a plan of action on getting a rapid response team started in case of someone with those issues needing help.
