SAN MARCOS — The Palomar Community College District Governing Board officially hired their new president and superintendent Tuesday by approving a three-year contract with Star Rivera-Lacey. The board had announced plans to hire Rivera-Lacey on June 23. She is scheduled to begin her new job July 26. Her contract runs through June 30, 2024, with an annual base salary of $257,000.
