Craft event Monday at Fairmont Library Join library staff for an adult craft night beginning 6 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St.

The Jackson County Libraries are hosting puzzle competitions at all three libraries on Feb. 25.

The program is free and will begin at noon at the Jackson Library, 2 p.m. at the Lakefield Library and 5:30 p.m. at the Heron Lake Library.

The city of Jackson is accepting bids to demolish a former library.

Lander University’s board of trustees approved a budget on Thursday that one member called one of the strongest budgets the school has proposed.

Justin Gantz helped design the new gates at the Akron-Canton Airport, Jerzee’s Café at Centennial Plaza and the Jackson Township Amphitheater.

Lander University President Richard Cosentino updated a panel of lawmakers on the university and discussed funding requests.
