(KEYC) — A Mankato boy’s dream recently came true through the generosity of others. Jacob Andrade, 10, is diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome, uveitis, trauma. His dream was to one day own a dog. Thanks to the Sunshine Foundation and a grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, Jacob’s dream became a reality.

Seguin boys' rally falls short in loss to Alamo Heights, Friday game vs. Veterans Memorial to air on KWED

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Jan 6, 2021 9:07 AM (Seguin) – The District 26-5A win column remains elusive for the Seguin boys basketball team after a 67-59 loss to Alamo Heights on Tuesday at Goldie Harris Gym. The Matadors fell behind by as many as 20 points in the second quarter and trailed 36-19 at halftime. Seguin came storming back in the third quarter with an 18-4 run, including 11 straight points to cap it, and the deficit was only three, 40-37, late in period. The Mules responded with a 14-0 surge of their own to push the margin back to 17 early in the fourth quarter, and the Matadors came no closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Tough Monday for Seguin teams in district losses to Boerne-Champion

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Dec 22, 2020 2:59 PM (Seguin) – Both Seguin High School basketball teams suffered lopsided losses to Boerne-Champion in District 26-5A on Monday, with the girls coming up short 64-27 and the boys falling 83-22. Reese Brittain scored 10 points to lead the Matadors in the girls game. Taylor Bode and Ashlie Aguilar added six points apiece, Tresalyn Roberts finished with four, and Ashley Lingueno hit a free throw. Champion jumped out to a 16-2 lead in the first quarter and extended the margin to 33-9 by halftime. The loss drops the Seguin girls to 2-4 in district play, 5-9 overall. The next district game is Jan. 2, 6:30 p.m. at Goldie Harris Gym against Dripping Springs.
