As details in Deshaun Watson’s legal battle continue to surface, the outlook for him taking to the field in 2021 is worrying. That would leave the Tennessee Titans the only roster fielding the same quarterback they did when the 2020 season came to a close. Understanding whe...

Is Wentz worth the picks? Evaluating Our QB Position Group By BertAlert! on May 5, 2021, 12:04pm EDT + The (C-) rating is due to lack of depth and unknowns. As of May 5th 2021 this is the CURRENT Colts QB Roster (Avg, Age:23.8) I am a fan of the Wentz trade and believe he can be a success, but I am trying to be objective.Taking a gamble on Wentz doesnt even do justice to the situation that the Colts have in there QB Room. We have a QB who has struggled with injuries and is hoping t...

We heard rumblings about 24 hours before the first round that the Cardinals were likely to take Collins, though he was someone expected to go in the mid-to-late 20’s. Could they have traded back and landed him? Maybe. But his versatility combined with that of Isaiah Simmons and Budda Baker make this a tough defense to play against. Moore makes so much sense in the second round, as we still don’t know if Larry Fitzgerald will return. No matter what, he’s a perfect fit to play the slot in t...

And heres what NFL Draft experts say about the Colts picks. Given that half the league got consistent B grades or better from most observers, these are less than stellar.  (Of course, no one will know the true grades until these guys play for a while. Just ask linebacker Darius Leonard, who is willing to remind anyone about one particular assessment of the Colts taking him in the second round in 2018.) GM Chris Ballard gets a good baseline score for addressing all the most pressing needs acro...

May 2, 2021 One of the most interesting picks that the Indianapolis Colts made in the 2021 NFL Draft was taking Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger in the sixth round with the 218th overall selection. They needed a backup quarterback to compete with Jacob Eason behind Carson Wentz, and an NFL veteran made the most sense due to Easons lack of experience both collegiately and in the NFL. However, they got a collegiate veteran instead in Ehlinger, who is a two-time team captain that started 43-of-46 g...
