Porter says that call left a mark on him. So Porter s daughter tracked down Tsukroff, now 26, before her father retired two months ago. Over the weekend the two were reunited. Lots of tears. It was one of the biggest calls that stick to my mind, one that had never really had closure to it, Porter said. I always wondered how he was. Tsukroff said he doesn t really remember that tragic day, but he kept a teddy bear that Porter gave him and always wanted to meet the man who saved his life.
