149,000 jobs. so not a lot of jobs added, below expectations, and if you look at the unemployment rate, which is a separate survey that s conducted, you can see it went down. it fell from 9% to 9.4%. how is that possible for it to fall if we saw there weren t enough jobs created. because some people said, you know what, either because of the weather or they got discouraged, they did not go out and look for a job so they fell out of the job market and therefore are not counted, and that s part of the reason we saw that number go the wrong direction there. it s a sign people are just not looking. keep in mind, think of what the weather is like. for a lot of people, if there is blizzards and snow out there, you re not going to go out and pound the pavement as much to get a job. also, for 2010, there were revisions, revisions, enough revisions that actually the numbers we thought we we thought we had 215,000 fewer jobs added to the economy last year than we previously thought.
