A Norfolk State student said she was at a party with her friend, 19-year-old Angie McKnight, when a gunman shot seven people.

Jada Wright, 19, of Newark was traveling north on Ryder Road when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a parked car. Wright was extricated from her vehicle and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Deputies say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
