As Texas prepares to reopen the state 100 percent, Las Cruces Mayor Ken Miyagishima has asked the governor to reopen indoor dining in Doña Ana County, but the request was denied.
“I m fortunate that I’m currently both in the private sector and the government sector, I see both sides, I live both sides,” Miyagishima said. “Sometimes when you have people in government they only see one side. They don’t know what it’s like to make payroll, they don’t know what it’s like to have to tell your employees, you know what, I’m going to have to cut your hours because I have to have money to pay the electric bill, the utility bill.”
