Czechs had 3 drafted NHL goalies. Didn’t invite one of them. Sat the other 2 and got destroyed by Sweden. Tonight they played one of the NHL drafted goalies. instead of 7 against it was 0 against.
I’ve become a fan of Russian hockey. I still think they will at LEAST make the semi’s. I’m still not sure the Czechs beat Rossi and Austria to even make the quarters. But, tonight, I celebrate!
This game was a bunch of future NHL and KHL stars playing a bunch of guys that probably won’t have long careers. Jakub Rychlovsky setting up Filip Koffer for a goal against Yaroslav Askarov would be the equivalent of Khaira and Ty Rattie combing on a goal against Carey Price. The shot blocks at the end looked painful as hell. A truly insane game that, in the end, means nothing but if we can post about Sweden stomping us and Canada anhilating 14 Germans then this gets some
