TRADERS at Pasar Harian Selayang (daily market) complex are up in arms over the introduction of a RM1 hourly parking fee introduced two weeks ago by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
PUTRAJAYA: A Covid-19 cluster linked to a supermarket in Selayang, Selangor has seen 84 infections since Jan 13.
The Jalan Selayang cluster is one of the seven new clusters detected by the Health Ministry on Thursday (Jan 14).
In a statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the supermarket involved is located at Jalan Selayang Baru.
He said 511 workers of the supermarket had undergone a targeted Covid-19 screening exercise, and 84 have tested positive so far.
Another cluster, named the Pasir Barat cluster, was detected from a project site in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Dr Noor Hisham said a targeted screening exercise had been conducted at the site since Dec 21 in phases, and 781 individuals have been tested to date.

PETALING JAYA: The number of Covid-19 infections hit a new record high just two days into the new movement control order, with the health ministry reporting 3,337 cases as well as 15 deaths in the past 24 hours.
There were 1,036 cases in Selangor alone and 257 in Kuala Lumpur, both of which are under MCO 2.0.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 1,710 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 113,288 cases.

In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 147,855.
There are 33,989 active cases with 195 patients being treated in intensive care and 86 requiring respiratory assistance.
