A Kinston man with felon convictions from 2013 and 2014 was found guilty of possessing a firearm at least two times in 2019.
Anthony Jamaal Lee, 32, of Kinston was sentenced Wednesday to 57 months in prison, according to Eastern North Carolina Attorney s office.
Lee also was sentenced to three years of supervised release for two counts of firearm possession he pled guilty to on March 25.
Lee was found in possession of a 9mm gun during a 2019 while at a traffic stop and again later that same year he was caught by a confidential informant with a gun on his hip during a drug investigation. A search warrant found a black Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team conducted a traffic stop on a Virginia registered 2021 Hyundai passenger rental vehicle, on Northbound Interstate 77 at the 68 Mile Marker for a traffic violation.
