SAVANNAH, Tenn. Dozens of people are in custody in a West Tennessee county following a drug investigation.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation joined the Savannah Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, targeting drug sales in Hardin County.
“We had several warrants, dozens of warrants on individuals for the sale of narcotics and we decided to do a joint operation today with the help of the TBI, Savannah Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff’s Department and US Marshals,” said Hardin County Sheriff Johnny Alexander.
Sheriff Alexander says these arrests are months in the making.

About two hours southwest of Murfreesboro in Savannah, TN, the TN Bureau of Investigation has wrapped up an investigation that ended with 35-arrests.
WGNS was told that Special Agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Savannah Police Department, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, and the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force led a multi-agency arrest roundup in Hardin and surrounding counties today as part of a year-long drug investigation targeting the trafficking of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs. As a result, 35 people were taken into custody on a variety of drug-related charges Wednesday (12/9/2020).
