James Webb Update News Today

NASA has shared the first picture sent back by the James Webb Space Telescope — as well as a selfie — that is now up and running. The new space telescope will eventually replace the aging Hubble Space Telescope that routinely sends magnificent images of the cosmos.

NASA has begun a three-month process to align the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), so that the $10-billion (roughly Rs. 74,710 crore) observatory could start doing what it was sent for: study the universe like never before.

James Webb Space Telescope scientists said they have completed all major structural deployments of the $10-billion (roughly Rs. 74,000 crore) observatory in space. What now starts is the primary mission of the telescope, they added.

James Webb Space Telescope, a day after fully tensioning the sunshield, has now completed another complex procedure. The space observatorys secondary mirror was deployed using what a Webb engineer described as the “worlds most sophisticated tripod.”

The $10 billion project James Webb Space Telescope is on the verge of unfolding and tightening its gigantic sunshade. If the deployment goes well, the operation should be complete by Wednesday. Unfortunately, a few glitch issues might delay the schedule.
