The trial for Jahme Barnes, who was 17 at the time of the alleged homicide but has since turned 18, will begin on June 24 with jury selection, according to an order signed on Monday by Montgomery County Judge William R. Carpenter. The trial is expected to last about five days.

Damon Brantley Jr., Daquan Allen and Jerry Butler are accused in the Jan. 20, 2024, robbery and fatal shooting of William Carter and must answer to charges in Montgomery County Court.

The trial for Verity A. Beck, originally set to begin Feb. 5 in Montgomery County Court, will now begin April 1 with jury selection. She is accused of killing her parents and then dismembering them. The trial is expected to last about 8 days.
