HENDERSON â Capt. Derrick Smith, commanding officer of the Salvation Army of Henderson, is being honored by Biscuitville for Black History Month celebration.
Biscuitville Fresh Southern is celebrating Black History Month by honoring Kizzmekia Corbett, Jamilla Pinder, and Derrick Smith. Smith said heâs âtruly honored.â âJust because [of] what black history means,â Smith added. âThere are people that have laid down their lives ⦠just to better our country for all people. And so, just to be a part of some of those names, Iâm honored.â
His honor comes with a fun opportunity.
During February, Biscuitville is giving away commemorative bookmarks featuring Derrick Smith to customers while supplies last, according to the release.
