A TORY councillor has been suspended for two months after releasing confidential details about the re-opening of recycling centres in Fife after lockdown. The Standards Commission for Scotland (SCS) heard that Andy Heer published sensitive information from board papers of Fife Resource Services, Fife Council’s arms-length waste management partnership, on Facebook and in press releases on May 20. Cllr Heer, who represents the How of Fife and Tay Coast, claimed he was the victim of a stitch-up by another councillor and added that the proceedings were a waste of taxpayers’ money and a very heavy-handed way of dealing with this”.
