There were 206,049 visitors to Maui in March 2024, down significantly compared to 276,485 visitors (-25.5%) in March 2023 and 271,934 visitors (-24.2%) in March 2019, according to preliminary data from the state Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism.

Japan’s All Nippon Airways, ANA, is celebrating its 25-year legacy of facilitating connections between travelers and the destinations of Japan and Honolulu in October. Since its inaugural flight in 1998, ANA has served millions of passengers on thousands of flights along this route.
Hawaiian Airlines today announced it will restart service between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport, operating three flights Oct. 29. through Nov. 4 before restarting regular weekly service on Nov. 22. The airline will gradually return to its original three times weekly schedule in March 2024.
Fukuoka becomes the fourth destination in Japan that Hawaiian serves, joining Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), Narita International Airport, and Kansai International Airport.
