Blogger and social media influencer, Japheth Omojuwa, has responded to the letter written to him through the lawyer to the former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, demanding an apology for listing her as a director in his company Alpha Reach.

Buzzfeed published a report that exposed the role Omojuwa and other influencers allegedly played in the social media campaign for the release of a Colombian alleged fraudster, Alex Saab, who has been declared wanted in the United States and currently facing extradition charges in Cape Verde.
Documents circulating online allegedly belonging to Alpha Reach, a company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2012, and believed to have played a role in the Alex Saab campaign, shows Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, and Ezekwesili listed as directors.

Blogger and social media influencer, Japheth Omojuwa, has said the then All Progressives Congress candidate in the 2015 presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari, was expected to appoint a former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, as a member of his cabinet.
The blogger also disclosed that Ezekwesili played some role during the 2015 electioneering because of the expectation that she would be made a minister in Buhari’s cabinet but the President did not appoint the ex-minister as a member of his cabinet when he assumed office.
Omojuwa, who said he has a 10-year relationship with the former minister beginning from 2012, stated this in a letter written by his lawyer, Boonyameen Lawal of Babalakin & Co Legal Practitioners.

The former minister, speaking through her counsel, Falana and Falana’s Chambers, stated this in a letter, titled, “Complaint over Fraudulent Use of the name of Mrs Obiageli Ezekwesili as a director of the Alpha Reach Limited; Demand for full disclosure and public apology.”
