The third leg of the MGM Borgata Pacing Series went postward Monday evening at Yonkers Raceway, and fans saw some new faces find their way to victory lane in four divisions.
Matt Kakaley will enter Monday’s third round of the MGM Borgata Pacing Series with three horses within nine points of the top eight in the standings and an eye toward enhancing their chances of qualifying for the lucrative April 24 championship.
There were four divisions of the third and final leg of the Step Up To The Plate Claiming Series contested on Saturday evening (March 25) at Saratoga Casino Hotel. Much like in the previous legs, the favourites did not thrive in the early going on Saturday as horses had their final chance to accrue earnings towards next weekend’s $30,000-plus final.
