Jared Eng pleaded guilty to one count of murder at the Manhattan Supreme Court after brutally beating and slashing the throat of his mother, Paula Chin, to get his hands on his inheritance.

A 25-year-old New York City man took a plea deal Friday for brutally beating his mom then slitting her throat so he could inherit her millions, prosecutors announced.

Jared Eng, 25, pleaded guilty of second-degree murder in the gory killing of his mother, Paula Chin, in her apartment in lower Manhattan. He faces a minimum of 18 years to life in prison and a maximum of 22 years to life in prison when he is sentenced in October.
