Police found the man while responding to a shots fired call in the area just before 7 00. The victim was shot once and has been taken to the hospital. Reporter they are one of the many local agencies with firefighters and fire engines out in Northern California near fresno battling fires away from home and it isnt even considered peak fire season right now. But cal fire says this summer has proven to be one of the more difficult summers across the state when it comes to wildfires. A lot of help has been called. As of yesterday, 12,000 firefighters were battling 17 wildfires in california. Half called in from fire districts across the state. Alameda county fire says its all hands on deck during these times. Reporter we are hours away from san jose turning the page and closing a painful chapter in its history. This was the San Jose City council set to vote on this new deal at 1 30 this afternoon. Now, as part of the negotiations, san jose will still save 1. 7 billion over the next 30 years by switching to a lower cost Healthcare Plan and also eliminating pension bonuses. Now, after the voters overwhelmingly passed measure b three years ago, san jose has seen a mass exodus of officers retiring or leaving for other departments with sjpd shrinking from 1400 down to just 900 officers.
