Four conservation groups have sued the Federal Highway Administration over a proposed corridor for Interstate 11, saying there hasn’t been enough consideration of how it would affect the pristine Sonoran Desert and animals in the area.

Masks will continue to be mandatory and some gathering restrictions will remain for a further week as Premier Mark McGowan outlined the next phase of WAâs step-down from lockdown.
Mr McGowan announced the loosening of restrictions on Thursday evening after five days without any new community cases being detected.

It followed around two million people in the Perth and Peel regions being plunged into a snap three- day lockdown on Saturday followed by four days of mandatory mask wearing and 20-person gathering limits.
