Friday night figures to bring bettors ready to fire away at the start of The Meadowlands card, as the first race (post time, 6:20 p.m.) will offer what promises to be a giant 20-cent Pick-5 pool.

As if that weren’t enough, Saturday’s (Nov. 26) extraordinary racing program will showcase many of the sport’s biggest stars on “Fall Final Four/TVG Championships Night.”

Harness racing’s biggest stars will battle it out on the track on Saturday, Nov. 26 in the TVG Championships and Fall Four stakes finals at the Meadowlands Racetrack. This year will be extra special with two of the sport’s biggest stars, Atlanta and Bulldog Hanover, retiring following their starts in their TVG finals.

Family and friends of the late Dave Brower were on hand at The Meadowlands to give the longtime lead TV personality a final sendoff.

Edison Hatter, 23, a harness racing jack-of-all-trades who has been working at The Big M as the handicapper on TVG telecasts as well as doing occasional winner’s circle and back paddock interviews,

“We think The Meadowlands is the perfect place to have Dave’s celebration of life,” said Brower’s sister, Laura.

Longtime broadcaster, media personality and harness racing participant Dave Brower of Parsippany, N.J. passed away on Thursday (Oct. 7) at the age of 53.

Dave Brower, the longtime lead TV host, morning-line oddsmaker and program analyst at The Meadowlands, passed away unexpectedly Thursday night while away on assignment at The Red Mile. He was 53.

Hambletonian Day at The Meadowlands, showcasing the finest in Grand Circuit harness racing, was a resounding success by any standard.
