Last weekend kicked off the two-day Big Steam Blues and Roots Music Festival in downtown Hot Springs.

Part of the intrigue in attending events such as the Big Steam Blues and Roots Music Festival is being entertained not only by the headliners but also area artists, which gives listeners a glimpse into what the local atmosphere is like.

Its blues season in the River Valley and Northwest Arkansas.

The "Blues By Budweiser" concert series will be back for a second season, according to Roscoe Willis, president of the Port City Blues Society.

The Blues By Budweiser concert series will feature the duo of Trey Johnson and Jason Willmon at 8 p.m. April 1 at RJs Grill & Bar, 128 S. Main St. The doors will open at 7 p.m.
