I have asked mr. wray to talk to me about a troubling believing that i received from the fbi and was weaponized against my and senator johnsons oversight. director wray and his staff have ignored my requests to meet, mimicking the pattern here at the nassar case, nonresponsiveness. without objection, id like to introduce into the record at the hearing today an e-mail thread illustrating the fbis nonresponsiveness to my request. this e-mail shows the great length that i went to to get a meeting w...

A survivors healing is affected by the handling of their abuse. it disgusts me that we are still fighting for the most basic answers and accountability over 6 years later. if 2015 it was known that at least 6 national team athletes had been abused by nassar. there was even one of the athletes that was abused on film. given our abusers access to children, stopping him should have been a priority. instead the following occurred. the fbi failed to interview parties in a timely manner. it took over ...

Special agent in charge, jay abbott, met with usa gymnastics president at a bar and discussed the potential job opportunity with the u.s. olympic committee. there after, abbott engaged with penney about both his interest in the u.s. olympic committee job and the nassar investigation. while at the same time participating in the nassar investigation with the fbi. he applied for the job but wasnt selected. we determined abbotts actions violated the fbis clear conflict of interest policy. we also fo...

Me to speak. as most of you are probably aware, i was molested by larry nassar. in actuality, he turned out to be more of a pedophile than he was a doctor. what im trying to bring to your attention today is something incredibly disturbing and illegal. after telling my entire story of abuse to the fbi in the summer of 2015, not only did the fbi not report my abuse, but when they eventually documented my report, 17 months later, they made entirely false claims about what i said. after reading the ...

>> thank you, all of you, for being here and being so direct with us and enduring this experience. just want to assure you that i have listened and heard what youre demanding. the burden shouldnt be on you to ensure there is no impunity in this case. the fbi, jay abbott and his subordinate, steve penney, usa gymnastics, u.s. olympic and paralympic committees. the burden is ours in the u.s. senate to see that there is a full investigation, that theres personal accountability and institutional acc...

Here is what the inspector generals report says. it says that once usag did go to the indianapolis fbi and reported these serious and credible accusations that jay abbott, the chief in charge of the indianapolis field office met steve penny at a bar and said im just about to retire, and i would love to have a job with the usa olympic committee. do you think you can put in a good word, and at the same time, at the staem bar theyre talking about the larry nassar allegations. now, was this alone wh...
