Too. hazel was a storm that was a record storm surge, 17, 18 feet on the north carolina coast. but then as it raced inland, it attained a forward speed of almost 50 miles per hour as it passed through central virginia. went on to break all kinds of records, 100 mile-per-hour gusts in seven states. and as i recall, the highest wind ever recorded at the top of the empire state building 113 mile-per-hour gusts. hazel wasnt even done then, because by the time it got into toronto and in to canada. it...
