Jay Farner, the CEO of Rocket Mortgage, announced he will retire later this year after nearly three decades with the company.

The change comes as the battle with rival United Wholesale Mortgage reaches a fever pitch and analysts speculate that more changes at the top could be coming.

Farner will retire June 1, 2023 after 27 years with the company
